Page Ninety Nine - Singles CD

$9.99

Page 99. Five years. Three continents. 300+ shows. 14 records. Countless members. Too many fucking memories. Hailing from the relatively tiny burg of Sterling, Virginia, this group of audio terrorists blazed a path through punk rock in their time on this planet. As the band's words grew more cryptic, their music became even more brutal, leaving a legacy that holds to this day.

Reptilian's association to Page 99 began with the release of "Document #5", a CD and limited LP that grows more legendary every day since being unleashed in the year 2000. Recorded in two days by Drew Mazurek and featuring cover art by acclaimed artist/photographer Carlos Batts, "Document #5" features Page 99 at their pinnacle. The music draws from grind, hardcore, heavy metal and screamo to form an aural attack unheard of before or since.

When Page 99 ended as a band in May 2003, Reptilian stepped in to release the fourteenth and final document, titled "Singles". Collecting for the first time on CD the vinyl and demo output of Page 99, "Singles" is an important monument to the band. From the cassette-only demos of “Document #1”, through the splits with Enemy Soil and Reactor No.7, on until the final 7” split with Circle Takes the Square, they’re all here. They’re all newly remastered and collected in one place. So save that eBay money!

Page 99 was a band that was very special not only to Reptilian, but to thousands of fans. Their legacy lives on not only with addition releases on Magic Bullet, Robotic Empire and Happy Couples Never Last, but with the spawn of Pg. 99: bands like Mannequin, Forensics, and the Hissing Choir.
